Jana Almejo

Executive Director of Commercial Lines

Jana Almejo has built up over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. Essential to the launch of the agency, she helped acquire all the licensing and carrier contracts for Tower Street at its inception and played a large part in the implementation of various systems critical to the agency’s sales and service teams. She holds both Property & Casualty and Life & Health licenses to allow her to assist clients in both her areas of expertise. Through her extensive insurance knowledge and excellent communication, Jana has worked in stride with our president to build the largest commercial book of business in her current agency, quickly catapulting her to the position of Executive Director of Commercial Lines. In between new business meetings and carrier relationship management, she oversees 25 individual commercial team members and has monthly check-ins with each.

In the last year alone, Jana Almejo has been featured on the cover of the Rough Notes insurance magazine and was named Best Insurance Agent 2024 and 2025 by D Magazine. Her contributions and guidance have helped Tower Street to achieve Chubb’s Double Cornerstone Award four years in a row. As a hands-on executive, she involves herself in everyday operations and works alongside her team on a thirty-million-dollar book of existing business and new business. Her ability to prioritize people over projects sets her apart from others who are leaders in title only. She is poised, kind, and diligent in each task she puts her mind to. Jana represents Tower Street’s ideal team player–a humble, hungry, and smart leader.

Jana Almejo comes from humble, blue-collar beginnings, and is a first-generation college graduate to her family. She received her Bachelor of Science in Business Management and the insurance designation CISR. Born and raised in a small North Texas town, she believes in sweat equity and lives by her favorite quote, “Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.” Her can-do attitude quickly made her an essential team member and natural leader. Tower Street would not be where it is without her presence over the past 5 years. Jana has been happily married to her husband for over 15 years and has a daughter and a son.
